CrapSurfer

Allo!! Well, we headed down to Croyde for a long weekend and were lucky enough to score some waves!!!!

Friday was poor and we were a bit gutted but a box of wine soon put that straight! So Me and Taff sat up drinking until the early hours round a little fire talking crap and waves.

I woke up super early and baking hot in my tent, so  woke my mate Taff and tried to lure him for a low to mid tide surf at half seven in the morning...........he went back to sleep and told me where I should go - so I did!

I wobbled/walked  20 mins or so to Downend and sat on the bench on the headland to survey the surf.....only to find it was Crap - gutted! So the only thing to do was to get some more sleep like a hobo in a wetstuit. I woke a little later hoping for an improvement......nope still crap! So back to sleep until I was rained on. Sometimes I do wonder why I bother surfing in this country at all ha ha!!!

So, I did the walk of shame back to the site as a 200m+ paddle out through white water is just quite silly at the best of times (without a massive hangover).

Later on I tried to cajole Taff for another attempt but he was having none of it and it was nearly low tide - I went for the walk again without my surf buddy........his mistake! I scored low tide Downend, head high (some a little bigger) on my own (for about 20 mins) and I was stoked! Ha, I couldn't wait to get back to tell Taff what he'd missed.

Later that day Matt and Ryan turned up and we managed to score waist to chest Putsborough for a late evening session - surfing with your mates? You just can't beat it (well sometimes you can when you need that contemplative wave moment.....hmmm deep man), a quiet and tired night and a few brewskis and it was bed time. We also were lucky enough to score Puts' the next day whilst Croyde was howling!

Really stoked to get some waves with my bro's and have some boys time.....do I really snore that badly????

Whilst we were in Braunton, I saw Surfed Out Surf Shop are now stocking Crap Surfer t-shirts! Awesome, it's spreading! I also saw my ex wife....not so awesome lmao!

Anyhow, looking forward to the weekend and Cornwall and the fact I'm now working part time so I can really put my time into my passions!!!

One of which is my new music duo "Clean Up Set" which is now booking gigs!!!!!
